This interactive workshop introduces the CQ® model and research. It also provides proven strategies that team leaders can use to optimize collaboration among team members across differences (multinational, generational, ethnic, or organizational, etc.) based on published, peer-reviewed research and practical application of CQ by team leaders. The workshop goes beyond identifying the challenges that can be associated with differences by emphasizing practical strategies and ways to apply the CQ model when working across differences. Team leaders will receive and share vivid examples and best practices for enhancing their team leadership by applying Cultural Intelligence. They will develop concrete action plans to facilitate psychological safety, perspective-taking, and intellectual honesty in their teams which facilitate a more inclusive team environment.

The CQ Pro Assessment measures your ability to work and relate across global cultures by measuring skills in four distinct areas. It also includes a valuable analysis of your behavioral preferences across ten values. It is the starting point of your CQ journey and gives you a benchmark from which to improve your effectiveness.

Team leader interactions and effectiveness can be improved by understanding differences in cultural value preferences and the importance of behavioral flexibility. The digital Behavioral Preferences Leader Cards define 10 behavioral preferences, identify questions behind each preference, provide tips for working effectively across differences, and offer insights and practical applications for leveraging cultural value differences as team assets.
A 1-hour eLearning course that provides compelling reasons why Cultural Intelligence is valuable in everyday life, knowledge about the four most common behavioral preferences with rich examples, and information on how team leaders can apply the CQ model at work and in life. The course also allows Team Leaders to practice applying CQ in real-world scenarios and complete action plans for improving and applying their CQ.
This 5–8-minute interactive video presents a situation where a diverse group of researchers conducts a post-mortem review on a medication that didn’t get approved. Communication challenges arise due to cultural differences. Viewers answer questions about differences in behavioral preferences, and how to resolve the misunderstandings and improve team interactions. This activity helps viewers understand different behavioral preferences and practice applying Cultural Intelligence (CQ) when preferences differ.
This 6–10-minute interactive video presents a scenario where a company’s marketing team and engineering team discuss their concerns about launching a product that the engineers recently developed. Viewers choose a role, review the discussion, and answer questions about the challenges and potential solutions to improve team interactions. Viewers then answer quiz questions which are scored like a game - a fun way to practice Cultural Intelligence while thinking on your feet.

Full payment is due upon registration and is non-refundable. However, we will allow a registrant the one-time option to transfer their registration to another available session within one calendar year, so long as written (email) notice is provided to the CQ Center 5 days prior to the workshop start date. If a registrant provides less than 5 days’ notice of a transfer request, an administrative fee of $100 USD will be assessed.
If a registrant fails to attend a workshop and no notice is provided before the workshop starts, that individual will be considered a “no-show” and will not be eligible for a refund or to transfer that registration.
We reserve the right to cancel a workshop session 30 days out. Full refunds will be given if we do so.
