The CQ Africa Summit will be an unique opportunity to gain new insights, network with like-minded individuals, and celebrate the legacy of Nelson Mandela. As you may know, Mandela Day is a global call to action that encourages people to make a positive difference in their communities. This year, Mandela Day is unique in that it is set to take place the same time we will be commemorating 10 years since his death and it would have been his 105th birthday.

At the CQ Africa Summit, you will hear from keynote speakers and participate in interactive sessions that cover a range of topics related to cultural intelligence, diversity, and global leadership with a particular focus on the relationship between CQ & Social Justice. You will also have the chance to connect with other attendees, share your experiences, and build new relationships.

CQ Certification

This program introduces you to the research and history behind the cultural intelligence (CQ) model and why it matters. As part of the pre-certification work, you complete the CQ 360 Assessment. During certification, you will learn how to effectively debrief assessment Feedback Reports. In addition, you get a full set of research-based strategies for helping others improve their CQ.

To train and certify participants to understand the CQ model and debrief the CQ feedback report.

CQ Train-The-Trainer

Through this train-the-trainer program, you learn how to run the Developing Cultural Intelligence (CQ) Workshop, a highly interactive half or full day program that provides participants with an introduction to the CQ model and research. The workshop places heavy emphasis on application for effectively working across domestic and/or international differences.

To learn how to successfully facilitate the CQ Center’s Developing CQ workshop within your own organization or for your clients.

The Rise and Fall of Apartheid Tour

Travel to the Apartheid Museum and experience a guided tour to learn about the history of Apartheid in Africa. Then travel to Soweto and visit Nelson Mandela’s house and the June 16th Memorial. Then visit other important locations such as Regina Mundi, the Freedom Charter Memorial, and Commendation.

Lunch (Sakhumzi) is provided.

CQ and Faith Activity

Experience a multicultural Church service at Every Nation Rose Bank, then have coffee and tea. Travel to the Mayfair Mosque, then participate in a discussion on CQ and Faith at the Mariott Hotel Johannesburg Balalaika Sandton.

CQ Africa Summit Days

On Day 1 of the Summit, be welcomed by hosts Ed and Quinton where you will be introduced to CQ and the work being done by the CQ Center. The delve into topics such as Social Justice, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and many more. Travel to Con Hill Future Space and Conformance Venue for more exciting lectures on CQ, and attend an dinner with traditional Ethiopian cuisine.

On Day 2, See a tribute to Nelson Mandela, and travel to the Nelson Mandela Foundation for a guided tour. Later, learn about CQ best practices and proven techniques used by successful Certified Facilitators across the globe. Participate in a brainstorming session to come up with even more great ideas!

Lunch and dinner will be provided for both days.

Payment and Shipping Policy

Full payment is due upon registration or within 10 business days of receiving an invoice. CQ Center will not ship any course materials until registration is paid in full. We cannot guarantee receipt of course materials if registration is paid fewer than 30 days prior to the course start, but we will attempt to send them in time.

Transfer Policy

Registration tuition is nonrefundable. However, we will allow a registrant the one-time option to transfer their registration to another available session within one calendar year, so long as written (email) notice is provided to the CQ Center 10 days prior to the course start date. If a registrant provides less than 10 days’ notice of a transfer request, an administrative fee of $250 USD will be assessed.

If a registrant fails to attend a course and no notice is provide before the course start, that individual will be considered a “no-show” and will not be eligible for a refund or to transfer that registration."

We reserve the right to cancel a certification session 30 days out. Full refunds will be given if we do so.
