Last month over 130 professionals across the Dallas Independent School District’s Instructional Leadership Team, Racial Equity Site Team, and team of Counselors participated in several CQ workshops facilitated by Drs. Sandra Upton and Janine Allen. Participants were engaging and saw the CQ Model as a great fit for the district’s inclusion and racial equity work.
Dallas ISD is the second largest school system in the State of Texas and was named by the Council of the Great City Schools as “one of the nation’s fastest improving school districts.” Serving approximately 157,000 students, the district encompasses an incredibly diverse population of students and families and includes an employee base of +20,000 teachers and staff.
This month, we will be facilitating an In-House CQ Certification Program with a select group of Dallas ISD leaders. These individuals will be certified and equipped to debrief the CQ Assessment, as well as facilitate CQ trainings with teachers, staff, and students throughout the 230 schools that comprise the district.
We’re excited for the opportunity to partner with Dallas ISD as they strive to strategically integrate CQ into their work and create a more inclusive and equitable school community for all students. Given their size and level of commitment, we are confident Dallas ISD will become a model for other schools across the country and globe.
