Last month, Dr. Sandra Upton, Vice President of Education Initiatives at the CQ Center, facilitated an In-House CQ Certification with key faculty and staff in the S.C. Johnson College of Business at Cornell University. The comprehensive program consisted of certifying a host of business faculty and administrators to teach CQ to Cornell business students, faculty, and staff. David Wooten, Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer at the S.C. Johnson College of Business, led the effort and said of the experience, “I liked the cultural values materials; participants got engaged with the content and willingly applied it to their profession.”
In addition to the training, the group did some strategic planning and identified specific and sustainable ways to integrate CQ across the business school. In fact, the School of Hotel Management, one of the foremost and top hotel schools in the world, has already begun implementing the CQ Assessment into its Masters Programs. We are thrilled about our partnership with Cornell and look forward to seeing CQ continue to expand across campus!
