Our corporate team recently delivered a workshop to a team of recruiters at a $17B retail chain. The workshop was facilitated by Kristin Ekkens, our Director of Corporate Partnerships.
Any time we work with Human Resources professionals, we know we’re going to have a very engaged, discerning group. This HR group did not disappoint. They asked tough questions and worked collaboratively to use the session to strategize how to integrate CQ into their HR processes.
Their feedback after the workshop demonstrated self-discovery, a critical part of cultural intelligence: “I didn’t understand my own bias and perceptions, eye opening!”
Participants also described the value of strategizing together with their peers during the session: “The exercise throughout the day where we worked with our teams gave me a better understanding of how we can do this together.”
One of our key priorities in any session we run is ensuring it’s customized to the company and group. Based on this group’s request, Kristin particularly focused on our research-based strategies for Culturally Intelligent Hiring. We continue to learn about the relevance of the research based on how these kinds of HR strategists work with the content.
