It seems Unconscious Bias training is all the buzz today. While we aren’t big on following the latest training trends or fads, we do believe that, coupled with CQ training, there is a very real need for this, especially in education. We’re all vulnerable to having biases. And given the diversity on most campuses and in secondary schools, they can show up everywhere — in the classroom, among students, hiring and promoting staff, faculty and teachers and across departments.
In case you haven’t heard, this Spring we launched a new training program, Culture Matters: Managing Bias to Improve Performance. This program is designed to increase our awareness of our biases and when awareness is coupled with CQ, new habits and behaviors predict intercultural performance.
