For Michigan residents, this training fulfills LARA-mandated bias training requirements, but can be taken by anyone seeking to minimize bias in a healthcare setting. For Illinois residents, this training fulfills IDPFR bias training requirements, but can be taken by anyone seeking to minimize bias in a healthcare setting.

You Will Receive

Pre- and Post-Survey to test your awareness of Implicit Bias

Take an Implicit Bias assessment at the very beginning of the program to establish a baseline. Retake the assessment after you have completed your training to compare the two scores to show learning has taken place.

Pre- and Post-Survey Feedback Reports

A report that details results from both surveys and the comparison between your Pre-assessment results and your Post-assessment results.

3 hour virtual facilitator-led guided training

The Implicit Bias in Healthcare virtual workshop provides healthcare practitioners and professionals with an in-depth understanding of implicit bias (often called unconscious bias) and explicit bias. This workshop teaches you how to manage your bias and interactions with diverse patients, practitioners and peers.

Implicit Bias in Healthcare Workshop participants will develop the critical skill of cultural intelligence using the Cultural Intelligence (CQ) framework. This framework draws upon research-based findings to provide strategies for disrupting bias in healthcare practitioners and organizations.

Fees, Cancellation, and Transfer Policy

Full payment is due upon registration and is non-refundable. However, we will allow a registrant the one-time option to transfer their registration to another available session within one calendar year, so long as written (email) notice is provided to the CQ Center 5 days prior to the workshop start date. If a registrant provides less than 5 days’ notice of a transfer request, an administrative fee of $100 USD will be assessed.

If a registrant fails to attend a workshop and no notice is provided before the workshop starts, that individual will be considered a “no-show” and will not be eligible for a refund or to transfer that registration.

We reserve the right to cancel a workshop session 30 days out. Full refunds will be given if we do so.
