Provides a historical perspective on how CQ emerges from research on multiple intelligences and intelligence across cultures and how the concept of CQ differs from prior conceptualizations of intelligence by focusing on the bridging of cultural differences. Identifies directions for future research to meet the global  challenges of the Anthropocene epoch.
