Event FAQs

Should I bring a laptop?

If you are attending the CQ Train-the-Trainer programme, we recommend that you bring a laptop or other device. A laptop is not required for CQ Certification, as you will be provided all the materials necessary to follow the session.  For the summit, you should not expect to make use of electronic devices.

What is the dress code?

We want you to be comfortable throughout, so we recommend business casual/smart casual attire. There is no requirement to dress formally for either evening reception, but you are welcome to dress to impress if you wish!

Will the event be filmed?

The event will be partially filmed by a professional member of our team, who will also act as event photographer. By registering for any of the events, you understand that your image may be captured in still or moving format and used in marketing material.

When will I receive my materials?

All materials will be delivered to the venue and be ready for you on the first day of the respective programs, as applicable.

 Will refreshments be provided?

Yes. A light continental breakfast and lunch will be provided on each day, as well as unlimited tea, coffee and soft drinks. Breakfast will be in the event space, and lunch will be in the restaurant.

Who can I speak to if I have any concerns or questions?

There will be multiple CQ Center team members on hand throughout the event to assist you with any questions you may have. A team member will be at our dedicated help desk throughout, and you will have the opportunity to meet various people from the client experience and business development teams.

Is there a charge to attend the receptions?

No. You are welcome to join us for drinks and canapes on each evening at no charge.

Venue FAQs

When can I check in?

Check in is from 3pm. Early check in is subject to room availability.

Where is the nearest train station?

The Pendry is located approximately 1.5 miles from Chicago Union station.

I have booked a standard bedroom – can I upgrade?

We have a number of suites on the room block, which are at a preferential rate and subject to availability. You can upgrade up to April 4th by contacting the hotel directly.

Is there somewhere I can store my belongings?

A coat rail will be provided, but we recommend that you keep items of value in your room or on your person as we cannot provide secure storage. Any items left unattended are at your own risk.
